About Me

 I grew up on a family farm in Louisiana, where hard work and family values were everyday life. Over twenty years ago, I moved to Indiana to pursue my American dream. Instead of college, I chose to enter the workforce and began driving for FedEx, a job I still have. Proud to be a working-class Hoosier, I’m deeply involved in our community.

In addition to my job as a courier, I have also been an active community member. I have founded and actively participated in groups like EveryKidEats and Greenwood Indiana Pride. I have also gathered monetary donations, clothing, toys, and household necessities from her co-workers and friends for various charity efforts across Greenwood. These contributions have benefited the Sheltering Wings domestic violence organization, Firefly Children and Family Alliance, and individual families in need of basic resources.

 Upon becoming aware of lunch debt in the Johnson County school systems, in 2022 I partnered with several community members to set up Every Kid Eats. This grassroots effort raised $20,000 from local residents to help struggling families in Johnson County.  As an Indiana State Senator, I will fiercely advocate for providing free, healthy meal options for all Indiana students.


Continuing the progress we have made as a nation hinges on an exemplary education system for the success of Indiana’s students. I believe education must be affordable at every level, from vocational schools to two and four-year colleges and universities, and that students should not be handicapped or penalized for pursuing higher education in furtherance of serving their communities.


I believe that elected officials must represent the community they serve. As an Indiana State Senator I will bring an open mind and a spirit of cooperation to the table when discussing pressing issues facing everyday Hoosiers. I pledge to propose, write, and vote for legislation that best serves all her constituents, not just a select few.
